The Detox and Meditation Facilitators
Sarita has spent the last 37 years on the spiritual path, absorbing a powerful transmission on meditation and Tantra from her spiritual Master Osho. She is founder and co-director of the School of Awakening and the author of two books.
About this retreat she says, "Silent meditation and witnessing has been my mainstay for many years. It helps weather the storms of life and to discover our true nature like nothing else. I am absolutely delighted to have a group devoted to the magic of witnessing and to radiant health, both physical and mental."
Ekant is an adept of Mantra chanting, and has been absorbing its gifts since childhood. He is very excited to be offering it to others on the retreat. He says: "I was introduced to Mantra chanting at a very early age, perhaps when I was 3 or 4, as I followed my mother when she conducted her early morning and evening prayers. I remember the time then as being the most warm and safe.
Later on in my life, Mantras became an integral part of every day and I felt that the chanting allowed for a purging of emotions and also enabled a certain quality of silence to descend. It was in one of Sarita’s workshops in Corfu that I started to experience a different level of silence within when chanting.
Mantras have tremendous healing and aligning properties as each of the Mantras, uttered with the meaning in mind and the right intonation (either expressed or heard), creates the right vibrations for the chakras to get tuned and ready for an upward energy or Kundalini movement. It also brings a totally different quality of silence to the meditative state and can take listeners into a trance-like state.
Personally for me, my practice would be incomplete without the time I commit to chanting mantras and it remains my most favourite time of communion with the Divine within."
Niten is a raw food enthusiast and cook of many years experience, and can’t wait to serve the delicious, nutritious food on this retreat! He says: "I first got into raw foods in 1996, when living on a permaculture farm, in the tropical parts of Australia. It all just felt natural to feed from our fruit trees and vegetable garden. Before I knew it, I was a ‘Raw Foodist’, not because I intended to but because it tasted so much better! Also the amount of energy I would gather for the day was just incomparable! It occurred to me that this had to do with the fact that I was eating foods coming straight from the land and not treated with chemical pesticides.
To eat raw is like an energetic bomb for the body. It is also an invaluable gift for my health, as well as clarity of mind and balanced emotional flux. As a cook, I find immense pleasure and inspiration to prepare (or ’uncook‘) raw, organic, fresh foods. The possibilities of creating delicious, vibrant raw meals are endless.
I’ve also witnessed a huge transformation taking place among friends who’ve gone raw. And the good news is, you don’t have to be a fanatic, but instead, enjoy it to the level that is suitable for you. I’m about 80% raw as I’m often travelling, and that works for me.
I am so excited to be joining Sarita for what promises to be a unique experience for both taste buds and cleansing of the body. To combine meditation and "live foods" is the ultimate experience where a strong, healthy body meets a clear, focused and peaceful mind... Who could ask for more?"
Chintan is a Master Craniosacral practitioner, available to give his wonderful sessions (as an optional extra), that promote bliss and wholeness.
He says: "One of the main aspects of Craniosacral Resonance is to support the body to balance the autonomic nervous system (ANS). As we get caught in a busy daily life, the ANS tends to lose the ability to self regulate. This leads to chronic tensions, toxicity and illness. So Craniosacral Resonance is very supportive of any detox treatments. It helps the body to restore self regulation of the ANS, eliminate toxins and promote self healing.
I will only be in Croydon hall for three days. Yet I am so looking forward to being part of this retreat, to witness my own attunement with the whole group and the unfolding of my own process."
